MOTHER’S DAY AND CHRISTMAS ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSIONS REQUESTED
Thank you so much for interest in having your work included in not only one but, two anthologies published by BK Royston Publishing LLC in 2014.
BK Royston Publishing LLC is a faith-based publishing company specializing in quality materials that inspire, inform and entertain. In 2014, BK Royston Publishing LLC will release two anthologies with two separate themes. The first anthology will be focused on the theme of mothers/motherhood for Mother’s Day 2014. The next anthology will be focused on the theme of Christmas.
The two anthologies will contain a collection of short stories, inspirational writings or poems. All submissions do NOT have to be Christian or faith-based in nature but, they do HAVE to be family friendly with regards to the language, plot and details of the story.
Mother’s Day is May 11, 2014 so all submissions will be due by February 15, 2014 and if major corrections must be done they are due back by March 1st. The printed copies of the anthology will be available by April 10, 2014.
All submissions for the Christmas anthology will be due on July 15, 2014 and if major corrections must be done they are due back by August 1st. The printed copies of the anthology will be available on October 15, 2014.
Rules of Submission
All submissions must be typed with the author’s name, complete mailing address, phone number and email at the top, a title can be included but, not necessary. The document must be doubled-spaced, at least a 12 point font and saved as a Microsoft Word or shared to bkroystonpublishing@gmail.com of a Google Document. The submission should be emailed as an attachment to bkroystonpublishing@gmail.com. In the subject line, include Mother’s Day anthology or Christmas anthology.
All submissions are owned by each writer. BK Royston Publishing LLC DOES NOT own the rights to your submission. BK Royston Publishing LLC only wants the rights to print and distribute your work. If your piece is accepted into either anthology, you will be notified in writing and a contract will need to be signed allowing BK Royston Publishing LLC the right to print and distribute your work. Each author will need to secure or pay for the copyright of their work. This can be done on your own or you can pay BK Royston Publishing LLC $45 to handle copyright for you.
The following are the word count guidelines for submission:
Short Story – no more than 7,000 words
Devotional – no more than 1,000 words
Poem – no more than 3,000 words
Inspirational Writing – no more than 2,500 words
